Selection and Notification of Winner(s):

You may purchase as many tickets as you want. Ticket holders do NOT need to be present to win. Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing on May 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Building, 240 Scott Street, Paso Robles, CA. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email.

Funds Generated by this Raffle will Benefit the following Organizations:

Proceeds will benefit The American Legion by providing emergency relief funds for active duty personnel and/or veterans and their families - Help pay some of the operating and maintenance expenses for the North County Veteran’s Van used to transport veterans to and from local area VA facilities – and other community activities and programs supported by the American Legion.

Proceeds will benefit Supplies For Soldiers by helping to send Phone Cards and Monthly Care Packages to several San Luis Obispo County soldiers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Eligibility:

You must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the United States to purchase tickets and/or win a car. All federal, state and local laws apply. The raffle is void where prohibited or restricted by law.


Rules and Regulations:

Winner(s) assumes all federal, states and local taxes, transfer taxes, fees, insurance, delivery costs and any incidental costs not mentioned herein. The American Legion, Supplies For Soldiers, or Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep will assume no cost. Payment of tax withholding will be required at the time of transfer of the prize to the winner. For any prize valued at $600.00 or more, an IRS form 1099 with the prize value will be sent at year-end to the winner and the IRS. The American Legion and Supplies For Soldiers reserve the right to substitute a prize of similar value in the event of the unavailability of a prize.

Winner must provide a valid driver’s license or ID card matching the winning ticket stub to collect the prize. If the winner cannot be located within 15 days after the drawing and after making reasonable attempts to do so, or if the winner is determined to be ineligible, such winner will be deemed to have forfeited his or her prize and another winner will be selected by random drawing for such prize. Winner must claim the prize within fourteen (14) days after notification and acknowledgment of the award and arrange for the delivery/pick up of the car, or cash prize (see details below), within this 14 day period, unless a special arrangement is made and agreed upon by the winner, The American Legion, Supplies For Soldiers, and Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep.

VERY COOL INFORMATION
Grand Prize is non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. There will be No substitutions for a prize. Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep agrees that the winner of the raffle may select an alternative vehicle from the dealer stock provided that the alternate vehicle is of equal or greater value. If an alternate vehicle is selected, the winner of the raffle is responsible for the difference in the value of the vehicles plus all applicable taxes, fees and other incidental costs. A maximum of 2000 tickets will be sold. If 800 or less tickets are not sold by 2:00 p.m. on May 26, 2008, The American Legion and Supplies For Soldiers will award 50% of total ticket sales, less expenses, to the winner.

General Terms and Conditions:

By purchasing a raffle ticket, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations and the decisions of The American Legion and Supplies For Soldiers, which shall be final. The American Legion, Supplies For Soldiers and Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep are not responsible for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the winner’s acceptance or use of any prize. By entering the raffle, each participate releases The American Legion, Supplies For Soldiers, and Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep, it’s owner’s, directors, officers, employees, and volunteers from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages by any prizes or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. The winner agrees to indemnify and hold The American Legion, Supplies For Soldiers, and Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep, its owner’s, directors, officers, employees, and volunteers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the winner’s acceptance or use the prize.

REFUNDS: All raffle ticket sales are final. The American Legion and Supplies For Soldiers assumes no responsibility for lost, late, re-produced, misdirected or non-delivered mail, email, or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines.

By participating in this raffle, all ticket purchasers and everyone named on a raffle ticket accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here and (2) that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by The American Legion, Supplies For Soldiers, and Perry Ford-Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep for publicity purposes and in lists of prize winners to be published in area newspapers or other media including television, radio, web and print.

By participating in the car raffle, the participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of The American Legion and Supplies For Soldiers officers.
